Founders of The London Police Reunite

Word on the street is the founders of that the great London Police (not London's authorities, but rather the legendary art crew) have reunited and started putting out some cool work for 2009. Bob and Chaz have been in Brooklyn for the past week working on a massive canvas for a local collector. Retired Plane Turned Into Hostel

Leave it to the great people of Stockholm to turn an old 747 into a HOSTEL! Yes, you read right! The Jumbo Hostel is housed within a 747 in the Stockholm-Arlanda airport. It has 25 rooms with three bunk beds each. Each room is around 6 square meters, and naturally, a lucky visitor will get the chance to sleep in the cockpit.

French Artist JR Honors Slums of Kibera, Kenya

Many of you may remember back in September when I wrote about French artist JR's project 'The Hills Have Eyes' in which he honored the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil by drawing faces on the houses that lied on the hills (if not CLICK HERE).
Well he has come back and done something similar in Kibera, Kenya. This time, 2000 square meters of rooftops have been covered with photos of the eyes and faces of the women of Kibera.





The train that passes on this line through Kibera at least twice a day has also been covered with eyes from the women that live below it.





With the eyes on the train, the bottom half of the their faces have been pasted on sheets on the slope that leads down from the tracks to the rooftops. With this, their eyes will match their smiles and their faces will be complete whenever the train passes.
