David Chase and HBO Back Together Again...

David Chase, the creator of The Sopranos, is teaming up with HBO again to make a mini-series about the early days of the movie industry, titled "A Ribbon of Dreams." Here is some info taken from the press release:

Entitled A RIBBON OF DREAMS, the miniseries will begin in 1913 and follow two men, one a college-educated mechanical engineer, the other a cowboy with a violent past, who form an unlikely producing partnership and together become pioneers and then powers for a time in motion pictures.

'Bloom'

London-based art student Sam Spenser recently completed his latest installation 'Bloom'. This project is a result of Champagne-maker Veuve Clicquot's request to have an exhibition focusing on the color yellow- which is the color of the labels of its bottles.

If You're in LA This Sunday..

Make sure to check out Ghostly Internationals 10 Year Anniversary party at Jimmy's Lounge this Sunday. The event is sponsored by XLR8R. While Ghostly is most known for Ann Arbor techno artists like Matthew Dear and Ryan Elliot, this is a good opportunity to check out the other talent on the Ghostly roster.

Banksy Returns to London

Two new Banksy's have popped up in London. I can never get enough of his work. Taken from HERE

As a special Wednesday Treat, here's a video that someone took to try and convey the diversity of people who enjoy Banksy's art. (You might want to mute your computer, the music in the background is irritating)

James Clar - The Rat Race

Check out this new series by James Clar of Dubai's Traffic Design Gallery. The idea is to portray how humans are much like competitive rats 'racing' to get to the top. The other guy you see in some of the photos is Rami Farook, the owner of Traffic Design Gallery. James Clar describes it as:

"The Rat Race" is a piece jesting at the social ideal of the rat race, the idea that we are all rats in a competitive race to the top. Technology plays a key role in enhancing each rat but staying on top of technological progress (new software, programming languages, memes, etc) is a job onto itself. What technologies enhance our daily lives or make our work more streamlined? "The Rat Race" is a fusion of rat and technology.

Who survives the rat race?
The rat race."
