Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada 'The Identity Series'
Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada is a fellow Cuban-American contemporary artist who was raised in North Jersey and now resides in Barcelona. Here are photos from his 'Identity Series', which are giant charcoal drawings of random people. The blending of the charcoal and the wall surface with the wind, rain or the sudden destruction of the wall is ultimately the most important part of the process. The intent is to have identity, place and memory become one.

Crash The Super Bowl Dorito's Contest
My lady friend recently filmed this spec commercial for Doritos that could possibly air during the Super Bowl. If it makes it to the Top 5, she WILL need your votes. For the animal sensitive people out there.... no REAL animals were hurt while filming this.... ENJOY!

Cyril Helnwein: Myths & Fairytales
This past weekend I had the chance to meet Cyril Helnwein - an Irish photographer who is based out of Los Angeles. Outside of being an extremely cool person, he is one of the better photographers that I have seen in some time. This past week he was displaying his latest series Myths & Fairytales at Los Angeles' artwalk. Here are some images:
I must also add, none of these photos are touched up by Photoshop. Cyril made it very clear to me that he prides his work on not having to 'touch up' any of his pieces . Be on the look out for a post I will be writing in the near future on Cyril's father, Gottfried Helnwein - who happens to be one of the most successful painters in the world.
