Glen Friedman: Idealist Propaganda

One of my favorite photographers of all time, Glen Friedman, will be exhibiting a new show in Los Angeles' Subliminal Projects Gallery. I am excited because he is displaying some never seen before photos. For those of you not familiar with his work, Friedman is a photographer who traveled back and forth from NYC and LA at a young age (his mother lived in LA and father in NYC I believe). He was a kid who had a love for photographing some of his very talented friends doing what they loved to do. It just so happened that these good friends happened to be people like Tony Hawk, Tony Alva, The Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Russell Simmons, Run DMC, Public Enemy and many more. His book The Idealist and Fuck You Heroes are MUST haves for anyone who appreciates photography. Here are some of his more memorable photos that you probably recognize:
