Be on the lookout for Damian Lazarus' long-awaited album, Smoke The Monster Out, coming out on Get Physical later this year. He's one of the more innovative cats in the game so expect to hear a sound you've never heard before. If the album is anything like the first single, Moment, then it should be nothing short of great.
This is the Pedestrian Project- a group of individuals who decided to wear entirely black custom-made costumes modeled after the generic images of men, women, and children seen on public signs.
Here is Mos Def's new single "Life In Marvelous Times" off his next album The Ecstatic (due out February 24, 2009). He is still one of my favorite MC's (not like there is much competition these days). Oh how I miss the days of real hip-hop, not the bullshit we hear now.
BONUS: Here is a video I found of Mos Def performing another track of his new album called 'Auditorium' produced by the great Madlib.
Here is a new Joy Division cover by London-based hipster favorite Hot Chip. Apparently, members of New Order (who were also former members of Joy Division) asked Hot Chip to record the cover. I approve.
I'm sure many of you had the same thoughts I had when I saw Barack Obama WALKING in the middle of the street during the presidential inauguration motorcade. Well, turns out he had a 'bulletproof suit'. Yes, he was able to take a bullet while still looking sharp. Here is a video on the suit:
In case you haven't seen this video, this is a wall-animation video by an artist named Blu. I ran into this a while, still one of the sickest things I have ever seen.
Check out this chair created by Puur Design Studio. For those of you who are crammed for space, now you can have a single chair that morphs into 4 chairs and save some much needed square footage!
Los Angeles area vandals are tagging Marley & Me bus shelter banners and highway billboards with the phrase 'THE DOG DIES' - the ultimate climactic spoiler. I find it pretty hilarious =/ . (Sorry if this post ruined the movie for you)

What is tilt-shift format you ask?? Tilt-shift miniature style photos are pictures of real-life scenes that are manipulated to look like model photographs.
Apple has announced that it has reached an agreement with EMI, Sony, Universal and Warner to remove anticopying restrictions from the songs they sell on iTunes. That means users will be able to freely shift the songs they buy between their computers, iPods, phones and other digital devices. This is something I always HATED about iTunes. The bad news is that Apple will still charge 30 cents to change the format on songs previously purchased that have the restrictions.
To go along with that, Apple has allowed the labels to set their own prices for each song.
According to the New York Times: "... a majority of songs will drop to 69 cents beginning in April, while the biggest hits and newest songs will go for $1.29, Others that are moderately popular will remain at 99 cents."
